hanging up for assessment

As I had just finished hanging up kate took some pictures of my work! There is still clutter on the floor! Was not easy hanging laser cut 2 metre paper samples from the ceiling without wripping them but thankfully nothing came apart! Will hopefully get some pics at the degree show when the window panels are placed in front of windows and the light penetrates through all the cutwork. Not as effective with a white wall backdrop. Looking forward to keeping my upholstered stool after the show. The degree show is on at Quay House, Quay Street, Spinningfield, Manchester from 16th -20th June ( http://degreeshow.mmu.ac.uk)

Geometric prints



I just can't get enough of designing geometric prints inspired by traditional Islamic art. I take a traditional element and structure and digitally compose it and then manipulate it and take elements from my interpretation of it to create something new and contemporary. I still have a long way to go with these complex patterns but I am being to see contemporary prints in the ones I am producing particularly in my choice of colours for them.
